Honor Watch GS Pro Review

At IFA 2020 event, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor launched two gorgeously-designed smartwatches named Watch ES and Watch GS Pro. Although Watch ES sports state-of-the-art features but Watch GS Pro UK feels more premium and rugged smartwatch with a wide range of features for contemporary-day adventures.

It’s more rugged smartwatch than last year’s Magic Watch 2 which is also considered as the best smartwatch 2019. The latest features in Watch GS Pro including rugged design, sports modes like a plethora of intensive running courses, outdoor modes and more.

Aside from its positive sides, Watch GS Pro doesn’t come cheap and may leave a dent on your wallet when comparing it with Honor Watch 2.

Release Date and Price

The Watch GS Pro is currently available for pre-order throughout Italy, Spain, UK, Germany and quite a few other parts of Europe from Honor’s official website. As far as Honor Watch GS Pro launch date is concerned, it was expected to be launched officially back on September 7, but we’re not currently sure about it.

Taking a look at Honor Watch GS Pro Price, it’s likely to set users back approx. £220 which after conversion comes to around €249.99/$300.

This price tag seems very much fair as compared to Honor Magic Watch 2 which was arrived on stores at £159.99 (~$210/AU$305).

Very much unlike its brother named Watch ES, Honor Watch GS Pro comes loaded with an exquisite design which emphasizes a ring and dial made of stainless-steel and obviously, a durable construction. This smartwatch is available to pre-order in Charcoal Black, Marl White, and Camo Blue colour with a military logo.

At the bottom of the smartwatch, you will see Huawei’s TruSeen 3.5 Sensor as well as the SPO2 sensor that is located to determine the oxygen level in the blood.


When it comes to its crisp and vivid display, it is 1.39” in size – supported by AMOLED Technology with a maximum resolution of 454 x 454 pixels at 462 PPI Density. It is tactile and can be personalised or customised with outdoor aesthetic, animated covers.

Sensors & Battery

Having a look at its sensors, let us point out that this gorgeously designed Honor Watch GS Pro comes complete with an integrated GPS sensor and a highly interesting function called Route Back which doesn’t only record but also saves your paths without getting connected with your smartphone.

Moreover, it’s bearing a Barometer, 5 ATM Water Resistance (50 meters), and a warning feature when the weather shifts often.

And to keep it up, Honor uses a 790mAh non-removable battery, which is autonomous for up to 25 days and capable enough to last up to 48 hours when using GPS.

What’s more?

This Honor Watch GS Pro watch offers its customers more than 100 sporting modes, including mountain climbing, cycling, triathlon, swimming, skiing (including skiing and snowboarding).

Honor has confirmed that when you start working out, the watch automatically detects it and starts providing voice guidance.

Last but absolutely not the least, it’s indeed a smart enough watch and can manage calls from your phones, store up to 500 songs, monitor your stress levels, evaluate sleep, and capture mobile photos remotely. However, we have to look forward to seeing how comfortable it is when it comes to sleeping as it weighs only 45.5 grams.
